Course Objectives: | The aim of this courseis to teach the students the terminology and the usage of the operating room and its technologies. During the clinical practices, they are supposed to develop their skills and fundemental knowledge on the Daily work of the operating room. They are also supposed to know their obligations, the interpersonal relations and the basis of discipline in the Operating Room. |
Course Content: | Basic medical terminology used in the operating room and its meanings, Physical structure of the operating room, Functional features of the operating room, Operating room team members and duty definitions, Operating room cleaning and instructions, Operating control of infection control in the operating room, Technological tools and usage areas used in operating theater, sterilization methods and properties of sterilization unit, properties of sterilized area and sterile material, storage and preservation of sterile material, preparation of surgical room for surgical procedure, preparation of patient for surgery room, preparation of ameliyatata, posture and post-operative transfer , Patient, employee and environmental safety in the operating room |
