Course Objectives: |
-The "Sustainability in Buildings" course aims to shed light on the methods that should be followed in order to spread the awareness of sustainability among the construction industry workers and researchers in the academy. |
Course Content: |
-Transferring the technological, social, environmental and economic dimensions of the concepts of “sustainability” and “green building” and necessary awareness on this subject, • Information about eco certification programs (LEED, BREEAM, etc.), • Projects that have been or are being built with a green building approach in our country and in the world. examining various case studies, investigating the cost of these projects to companies. • In order to teach the course interactively, to increase students' research, data collection and analysis, and oral and written skills, the transfer of the subjects to the students will be enriched with student projects, various workshops and student presentations. |
