Course Objective and Content
| Course Objectives: | To develop the ability to understand the characteristics of piano music composed in various periods and to apply it technically. |
| Course Content: | 1 Features of the Baroque period style 2 Technological features of selected J.S.Bach preludes and fugues 3 Decorations in the works of J.S.Bach. Articulation and phrasing in preludes and fugues 4 The use of pedals in the interpretation of J.S.Bach's works 5 Examining the selected sonata in terms of form 6 Research of technical exercises for the selected sonata 7 Examining the technical content of the studies studied Legato and detache practice in 8 octave passages 9 The importance and application of legato in arpeggio exercises 10 Rhythmic working methods in fast passages 11 Technical features of Mozart style 12 Technical characteristics of Mozart concertos Technical examination of 13 selected Mozart concertos 14 Review of the instrumental techniques to be applied in selected works. Performance studies for the final exam. (One etude, one J.S.Bach prelude and fugue, technical achievements related to other works) |
