Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aims of this course are to update and enhance the knowledge on the preoperative patient evaluation, diagnostic imaging methods, asepsis-antisepsis rules, drug groups used in oral and maxillofacial surgery, drug prescribing and general surgical principles. In addition to these, theoretical and practical information about biopsy, preprosthetic surgical methods, etiology of maxillofacial infections, spreading of infection, factors and treatment methods, dental management of patients who have received radiotherapy and chemotheapy, diagnosis and treatment of salivary gland infections, approach to maxillary sinus diseases, endodontic surgery, diagnosis and treatment of odontontogenic cysts and tumors, temporomandibular joint diseases, orofacial pain, neurological diseases and laser applications.
Course Content: -Preoperative patient assessment, diagnostic imaging methods, drug groups used in oral surgery and prescribing
