Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The course aims to give graduate students the basic principles for the protection of the historical environment and structures.
Course Content: Conservation theory, protection process from single structure to environmental scale. Content and problems in the protection of historical sites. Scale and features of historical sites. Development process and properties of historical environments in Anatolia. Regional differences. Methodology, analysis and evaluation process, preparation of conservation plans, legal and economic aspects of conservation. National and international examples in conservation practices and techniques.
