Course Objectives: Teaching about the materials and properties used in the industry
Course Content: • Introduction of the structure and properties of materials, Metallic materials, Steel, Cast iron types and their usage areas
• Heat treatment of metals and alloys, Classification of basic manufacturing processes, Casting technology
• Mechanical Properties of Materials Basic Concepts, Non-ferrous metals and their alloys, manufacturing properties.
• Polymer types and their uses.
• Basic concepts about ceramics and glass.
• Investigation of the effects of ambient conditions on the material.
• Introduction of electrical and magnetic properties of material
• Examination of phase diagrams
