Course Objectives: Learns all necessary informations what he/she need in his/her Professional life. Obtains application techniques using and learning by photoshop program’s theroretical infrastructure.
Course Content: • Moves their designs to digital environment.
• Captures modern technology.
• Uses the necessary computer programs for fashion design.
• Computer-aided applications easily do.
• Performs artistic drawing, printing, pattern and embroidery design applications in the field of Fashion Design.
• Applies print, pattern and embroidery design applications in fashion design.

Lesson Plan

Week Subject Related Preparation
1) • Giving general information about the Adobe Illustrator program • General information about Adobe illustrator program, new program creation, recording and recording formats, Demonstration of classroom environment in practical and theoretical colors The functioning of the overall structure of the program. Research on professional areas
2) • Pattern design • Create a pattern unit in a geometric shape with the Adobe Illustrator program A pattern unit is designed within the equilateral triangle and square shape. The functioning of the overall structure of the program. Arrangements related to professional areas are made.
3) • Pattern Design • Reproduction of unit patterns with the Adobe Illustrator program. Theoretical information about the report is given. The pattern unit determined by the student is multiplied by these techniques and the surface is created. Similar applications are given as homework. The next week, these assignments will be checked.
4) • Pattern design and variant studies. • Transition to the subject of variant. Coloring of the pattern and variant studies. One of the prepared patterns is colored. New color variants are created alternative to this color scale. How to do a variant study is explained theoretically and sample applications are desired. Similar applications are given as homework. The next week, these assignments will be checked.
5) • Transition to clothing designs • Designing target garment designs for pattern dressing. Selection of suitable clothing designs for the application of the handicraft designs to the garment. Research of various clothing models from magazines, catalogs or internet media. The next week these investigations will be checked.
6) • Learning to make decupe on visuals, • Decupe applications in Adobe Photoshop The appropriate garments are selected for the design of the designs and selected to the computer. Decupe operations of the regions in which these patterns are to be fitted are performed. Decupe operations are continued as homework.
