Course Objectives: | To help students build translation oriented text-analysis skills and acquire translation skills. To provide students with the necessary skills required for the translation process by helping them to acquire knowledge about various text types. |
Course Content: | Theoretical information on the concept of translation and text typologies, discussion of the concept of translation-oriented text analysis within the framework of a model (text analysis model of Christiane Nord). Practicing translation-oriented text analysis and translation in various text types. |
