Course Objectives: |
It is aimed to raise awareness of the new media department students about the professional ethical values that a good communicator should have, the basic elements to be sensitive, responsibilities towards the individual, society and the state; to reveal the concepts of ethics with historical, theoretical and institutional backgrounds and to discuss ethical problems encountered in the new media through current examples. |

Basic concepts of morality, deontology, Property in media and Media Control, Private life, privacy and personality rights, ethics in journalism, ethics in public relations, ethics in advertising, new ethical problems in new communication platforms, Digital surveillance phenomenon, Social media and personal data security, Social content and copyright / patent rights in the media. |
