Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Defining and analyzing graphic design principles by means of printing techniques, revealing the concept of original printing, development process and its relationship with industry, learning about domestic and foreign print painting artists, knowing the types and application styles of original printing techniques, single and multi-color printing stages, pattern aimed to be able to apply conflicts, color and texture adjustments.

Lesson Plan

1) Introduction of printing machines and working systems. Reminding of work and life safety issues with the workshop. Information about the functioning of the course
2) Textured natural materials and applications to understand the concepts of printing, mold, roller and replication, texture, rhythm, movement, light-dark relationship and balanced integrity. Preparing textured natural materials, paints and papers, rollers and presses Linol Material Supply
3) Introduction of Linol printing technique with examples from artists; Sketching print image examples for material determination and monochrome printing. Information about linol printing mold material, ink, carving knives, rollers and papers. Supply of Linol Material
4) Linol molds preparation and monochrome printing studies. Evaluation of these studies. Introduction of matting material. Supply of linoleum and carving knives

2) - Gaining the ability to use the same level of theoretical and practical knowledge at the same level in an advanced level of education or in the same field. - To be able to interpret and evaluate data, to identify and analyze data, to develop evidence-based solution proposals using basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field.
