Course Objectives: | To describe the traumatic event phenomenon, to describe the process of interviewing people who experienced the traumatic event, to express how to approach the stress situations caused by different traumatic events, to describe the situations caused by the traumatic events, to talk about the methods of struggle and intervention. |
Course Content: | What is trauma, types of trauma, historical development of trauma psychology Risks of being traumatized. Trauma effects: What factors aggravate trauma? Post-traumatic disorders (associated with DSM V) Preventing trauma. What can be done in collective traumas (such as disaster). Pre-exam summary and evaluation Acute Trauma Interventions |
