Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives:
In this course, the main aim is to get to know the city and urban space, to understand, to define problems and to develop solutions. For this purpose, determination and analysis studies, determining the problems and potentials of the physical space, setting up environmental relations, examining the decisions of the current zoning plans, developing new approaches to social, economic and physical space, and creating design principles are the framework of the course.
In this context, the understanding of Turkey institutions and systems of planning, scale, space to stage, is expected to learn such concepts as planning approach.
Course Content: The content of this course, the concepts of urban and urbanization, the concept of sustainability, the combination of the concept of city and sustainability, problems arising from the urbanization process; population, ecological problems, residential settlement etc. healthy, and the birth of the sustainable city concept and considered opinion urbanization process in Turkey and the problems of urban and regional planning, urban planning, law enforcement vehicles settlement problems of urban planning, public services and housing, housing and urbanization relations, urban security, urban rights in the world a comparison of the city and provides services developed with sustainability issues in Turkey.
