Course Objectives: |
Create awareness of occupational health and safety regulations, specify risk factors that can affect health at the workplace, put forward the necessary measures, give the attitude and the knowledge of designing the organization of occupational health and safety. |
Course Content: |
Historical development of occupational safety. Occupational safety concept and scope. National and international organizations and their duties related to occupational safety. Occupational safety culture. Risk and danger definitions, types. General and legal definition of work accidents. Recording, evaluating and reporting occupational accidents. Chemical and Physical factors. Personal protectors and the importance of using these protectors. General and legal definition of occupational disease, legal responsibilities. Occupational disease, causes of occupational disease and technical measures that can be taken.Define occupational health and safety concepts,Define occupational health and safety organization,Define occupational health and safety legislation and practice guidelines, Define occupational health and safety concepts risk assessment, Describe the concept situation in Turkey.
