Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The media, which carries out a public service to publicize the events of life, politics and economy, play an important role for society and companies. The media should be based on a gentle and sensitive balance of informational relations with society. The aim is to tell the media what kind of a function is installed, where the limits begin and where it ends.
Course Content: What is news and journalist; What are the functions and responsibilities of the media in the light of developing social, economic and technological developments; The relationship between ethics and media, the boundaries of digital media, Mission of the new media, the Enveloping Impact of the News; Communication Theories and Criticisms.

1) To follow the latest developments in media and online and offline sources, learning to feed from other disciplines that feed advertising, introduction to theoretical and practical information about the tools that will provide functional benefit.

1) To be able to use the theoretical and factual knowledge about the media in personal production, to analyze existing campaigns, to be able to approach critically. To be able to interpret and evaluate the campaign data by using the knowledge and skills acquired in media, to identify the problems in the marketing communication process.

1) To be able to combine knowledge of current problems and situations on the same plane as what they have learned in the theoretical framework, to be able to identify and complete the missing quantitative and qualitative data in order to solve the problem or gain the competence to complete. To be able to propose and implement constructive projects for the social environment by combining journalism, knowledge and experiences with social responsibility.

1) Critical approach to the knowledge gained in the field of media, to make suggestions for change and to apply, to determine the learning requirements for this and to achieve its goal by planning. In this sense, understanding the importance of lifelong learning and developing the tendency to implement this approach.

1) 1. Acquainting oneself with technologic developments which have effect on new media area. 2. Gaining the theoretical infrastructure controling the influence flow within social media, society and digital culture. 3. Implementing digital communication on productive and strategic projects by using the right applications. 4.
