Course Objectives: | The course is an Ottoman Turkish course designed for those who will work as translators and editors in the future. |
Course Content: | To know the Ottoman Turkish and the general features of the alphabet used, to comprehend how the words and Turkish suffixes are written with Arabic letters, to read the selected Ottoman texts. At the end of the course, students will be able to recognize the Arabic alphabet used in Ottoman Turkish, learn the spelling of words and Turkish suffixes in Arabic letters, write a Turkish text in Ottoman Arabic letters, and read simple Turkish texts in Arabic letters. |
