Course Objectives: | The relation between culture and translation is to be traced by using different texts |
Course Content: | An analysis of different theories about culture is given. Discussions about cultural codes are made and illustrated by referring to different contexts like television, film and literature. The specific emphasis is on popular culture and how it is internaized by its receivers. The ultimate goal is to translate such texts. |

3) Graduates become familiar with the intellectual and cultural traditions in the cultures speaking A, B, and C languages and obtain awareness about behaviors and attitudes specific to such cultures. | |||||||
