Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: By helping students develop advanced techniques, repertoire and musical expression on the Kemenche instrument, to provide students with the ability to perform at a professional level.
Course Content: Mastering advanced kemenche playing techniques.
Enriched knowledge of makams and ability to play in different modes.
Acquiring advanced rhythmic skills.
Expanding the traditional Turkish music repertoire and creating your own interpretation.
Developing improvisation and solo performance skills.

1) Review of advanced cello techniques, remembering basic positions. The relevant resource will be given to the student during class time.
2) In-depth examination of cello taksim studies, advanced melodic development. The relevant resource will be given to the student during class time.
3) Advanced solfeggio exercises, rhythm development. The relevant resource will be given to the student during class time.
4) In-depth examination of cello performance techniques, expansion of the repertoire. The relevant resource will be given to the student during class time.
5) Practicing advanced cello decoration techniques, learning new techniques. The relevant resource will be given to the student during class time.
6) Focus on emotional expression in the cello, expansion of the repertoire. The relevant resource will be given to the student during class time.
7) Performance preparations, technical review. The relevant resource will be given to the student during class time.
8) Performance and evaluation, end-of-term evaluation. The relevant resource will be given to the student during class time.
