Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: This course aims to develop and strengthen students’ receptive and productive skills in written and spoken English. Emphasis is laid upon enlarging their vocabulary, improving their four fundamental skills, i.e. speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Upon completion of this course, students are expected to understand and create grammatically and syntactically correct sentences and use English effectively in a variety of situations.
Course Content: This course is conducted face to face. It aims to help students develop their General English skills at Upper-Intermediate level. All four skill areas- Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking- will be covered. Particular attention will be given to further expanding students’ vocabulary and to consolidating their grammar.

3) Ss can write clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects related to my interests. Ss can write an essay or report, passing on information or giving reasons in support of or against a particular point of view. Ss can write letters highlighting the personal significance of events and experiences.
4) Ss can Express themselves in clear, wellstructured text, expressing points of view at some length. Ss can write about complex subjects in a letter, an essay or a report, underlining what they consider to be the salient issues. Ss can select style appropriate to the reader in mind.
