Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide an understanding of the late Ottoman developments in European influence and the national reactions in response to the modern Republican modernism and their relations with the history of European architecture since the Baroque period.
Course Content: The architectural movements developed and their interactions with European-Ottoman-Republic and contemporary since the 16th century; Baroque, Rococo, Empire styles, Neoclassicism, Industrialization, Art-nouveau, 1st National architecture, Republican architecture, 2nd National architecture, Modern architecture and Contemporary architecture movements
