Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: 1. To give information about health law and related basic concepts
2. To give information about patient rights within the framework of national and international legislation
3. To give general information about informed consent and medical malpractice in medical interventions
4. To give information about some crimes that may find application in terms of physicians and healthcare professionals.
Course Content: The concept of "informed consent", which is one of the basic elements of the patient-physician relationship in terms of medical ethics, and its historical development, legal basis, conditions, exceptions, special appearance forms, especially in the form of legislation and practice, will be examined in all aspects. Basic and distinctive features of physician's responsibility will be discussed within the framework of general responsibility principles.
