Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: It is aimed to research and comprehend the volume-human-furniture relations, to give the student a unique design identity, and to develop details suitable for the space, based on the acquisition of basic volume design principles to the student.
In this context; In addition to wall, floor, ceiling, furniture materials, it includes topics such as service, table-chair session and typologies, color-texture analysis and lighting.
Course Content: In Project 3 studio, students are expected to design a store that will respond to new marketing strategies. Today, with the change in consumption habits and user expectations; Marketing strategies are also changing. Flagship Stores, one of the marketing strategies developed by luxury brands to strengthen their brand image, constructs the shopping process through entertainment and experience. The aim of this new generation merchandising is to experience the brand identity in an innovative and memorable way for customers, and to make the store an area where various promotional activities of brands can be held. In a merchandising approach where product sales are built on experience rather than product, it is aimed that students find interior architectural solutions through the brands they choose to the question of how new generation stores, especially "flagship stores", can be spatialized. In addition, they are expected to examine how a symbolic store is integrated into the urban fabric and experience.
