Course Objectives: | The course aims to offer students a broad perspective by covering a specific art period or movement week by week. Examining the artists and works of each period in detail helps students understand the artistic concepts and techniques specific to that period. |
Course Content: | The course generally offers a broad perspective, from the Renaissance to modern art. Its content is generally shaped under the following main headings: Renaissance Period and Italian Renaissance, Northern European Renaissance and Mannerism, Baroque Art and Rococo Period, Neo-Classicism, Romanticism and Impressionism, The Birth of Modern Art and Today. This course offers students a broad perspective by analyzing different periods, movements and artists of art. |
