Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is; To provide physiotherapist candidate students with basic information and application examples on the role of occupational therapy in rehabilitation studies, basic evaluation methods of occupational therapy and occupational therapy approaches. |
Course Content: | Definition of occupational therapy. The role of physiotherapists in rehabilitation teamwork in relation to occupational therapy. Assessment of activities of daily living (ADL). Classification, training and rehabilitation of activities of daily living. Biomechanical principles regarding transfer activities. Transfer activities for individuals with different disabilities. Evaluation of deep, superficial and cortical senses. Ergotherapy approaches for different disability groups. Vocational rehabilitation approaches. Evaluation of hand functions. Rehabilitation of hand functions and fine skills. |
