Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To acquire the skills to 2 dimensional design and drawing with the help of Computer Aided Design.
Course Content: At the end of this course, the student;
• Ability to use the computer as an architectural drawing tool,
• Being able to express a design or project with a technical drawing,
• Ability to bring together the knowledge gained in technical drawing courses,
• Ability to make technical drawings in AutoCAD software,
• Will gain the ability to express his/her own interior architecture project in 2D environment.

8) Students will achieve proficiency in using dimension toolbars and commands, applying them in real-world scenarios.

1) Course content is transferred to students. The scope of the program is explained. AutoCAD software is introduced to students in general terms. None
2) AutoCAD interface, menus and 2D drawing tools are introduced. 2D design principles are reminded. None
3) AutoCAD file and edit menus are introduced AutoCAD standard toolbars are introduced. None
4) AutoCAD settings and options menus are introduced. Mouse functions on AutoCAD are explained. The drawing method with Ortho mode in AutoCAD program is explained. None
5) Object snap commands, draw toolbar and commands are explained Drawing commands are explained practically. None
6) Work is done on detailing view toolbars and drawing commands. Sample studies are made on drawing commands. None
7) MID-TERM EXAM None
8) Work on drawing commands continues. Modify toolbar and its commands are explained. None
