Lesson Plan

Week Subject Related Preparation
1) Sharing the course syllabus and explaining the functioning of the course. -
2) The qualities, purposes, and importances of packaging. Information about product and design samples before packaging design – Giving a research project -
3) Psychological effect of color in Packaging Design, target audience. Presentation of Research Paper -
4) First Application Project. Beginning of research and first application studies. -
5) Researching the relationship between surface and form in Packaging Design, box types, material selection and its effect on the product. First evaluating project ideas and sketches and giving revisions. -
6) First Application project. Evaluation of sketches and approved models, giving final revisions before delivery. -
7) First project delivery. Research for the Second Application Project (Examining knives and molds in Packaging Design and packages with different form surfaces and drawing the knives. -
8) Evaluation of second project sketches and approved models, giving final revisions before delivery. -
9) Midterm / Second project submission -
10) Third Application Project. Label definition, labels on packaging, types -
11) Third project evaluation of ideas and sketches, giving revisions. -
