Course Objectives: | Critically interpret the formal development of cities and settlements in the context of natural, geographical, socio-cultural, economic, political, aesthetic, functional and other possible factors. To explore the planning, urban design and architectural dimensions of urban form. |
Course Content: | It examines the development, change and continuity of urban and settlement systems throughout history and their formal reflections, and explores the philosophies, theories and practices of designing the urban environment in historical context. |
