Course Objectives: | The course focuses on basic fast, effective and accurate grade-taking techniques for students who will receive oral translation, successor translation, interview translatorand simultaneous translation training. It aims to give the student the ability to take fast, effective and accurate grades and solve the problems he may face when translating in this field. |
Course Content: | Verbal translation, successor translation, conversation translator and concurrent translation types, and common challenges in these translation areas. The importance of taking/taking notes quickly, effectively and correctly for oral translation activities, methods and techniques. Abbreviations and symbols that can be used for notekeeping. Information and skill-enhancing applications for note-keeping techniques. |
