Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to teach students the history of Arabic literature in general terms, to introduce the turning points, schools and general literary tendencies of Arabic Literature. Also, it is to provide information about the Arabic literary language, syntax and style. In addition, students taking the course will have information about famous Arab poets, and they will be provided with a better understanding of the course by reading literary texts written in different types at different periods. |
Course Content: | General information about Umayyad, Abbasid, Mamluk, Ottoman period Arabic literature and contemporary period Arabic literature, literary products. |
