Specific Admission Requirements

Electrical Engineers, Electronics Engineers, Electrical-Electronics Engineers, Electronics and Communication Engineers, Mechatronics Engineers, and Energy System Engineers undergraduate (Bachelor of Science) degree holders who scored at least 55 on the ALES/e-ALES exams (organized by OSYM), or 610 (old system) or 149 (new system) on the GRE exam quantitative section, or 450 on the GMAT exam (total score) are eligible to apply to the "Power Electronics and Clean Energy Systems" Master of Science program at Istanbul Okan University Institute of Sciences and Engineering.
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree GPA of at least 2.50/4.00. Applicants who have undergraduate (Bachelor of Science) degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Control Engineering, Computer Engineering and Computer Science may also join this Master of Science program once they have completed the "Scientific Preparatory Program" courses.
English Proficiency Exam: Candidates must score at least 55 on the YDS/e-YDS/ÜDS/KPDS/YÖKDİL exam (organized by OSYM) or TOEFL: 66 (IBT) or Pearson PTE Academic: 50 points or First Certificate in English (FCE): Minimum Score C or Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): Minimum Score C or Cambridge Proficiency Exam (CPE): Minimum Score C (or other accepted national or international equivalent language test score) within their first year of study.

Applicants grades will be normalized according to the weights below; ranked, and placed depending on the program quota.
• 15% of the GPA from the bachelor's and/or master's program used in the application
• 50% of the ALES/e-ALES/GRE/GMAT score
• 15% of the English proficiency exam score
• 20% of the oral interview score
