Within the scope of the program; theoretical knowledge about architectural history, conservation principles, restoration techniques, traditional handicrafts, as well as traditional spatial analysis, construction systems and building elements. With the fieldwork, students practically acquire experience in taking surveys of traditional building structures and elements. Students also learn how to professionally describe their work by preparing drawings and restoration projects of these field works, both manually and in the computer-based technical drawing methods. In addition to making documentation and analysis studies on urban and structural scales, students are prepared to transition from education to work life with continuing internships during their education, while adopting the main principles of conservation. |
