Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To have knowledge about the formation and pathogenesis of cancer, the effectiveness of nutrition in cancer prevention, how to mitigate the side effects of various treatment methods with nutrition programs.
Course Content: Adequate and balanced nutrition concept, food groups, cancer pathogenesis and types, national and international cancer statistics, nutritional effect in preventing cancer formation, nutritional treatment in different cancer types, energy and nutrient requirement in cancer and biochemical evaluations, the importance of enteral-parenteral nutrition support in cancer, cancer cachexia
