Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Recognize the basic sociological concepts and theories, To learn the founders of sociology and their perspectives, To learn how a sociological research is done, To gain a systematical way of thinking on social conditions and events.
Course Content: The main topics, theories and concepts of sociology, the method and logic of sociological inquiry are covered in the course; A general analysis of the political, economic and cultural elements that make up the social structure and the relationship of the individual with the society is presented. Within the scope of the course, different social and historical conditions shape sociology and temporal, spatial and hierarchical transformations and changes are discussed. Parallel to the issues in this resolution examples from Turkey and other countries for comparative social life is considered
