Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to acquire the basic knowledge about child development and to use them in daily life. For this purpose, we will examine the life of the baby starting with fertilization until puberty. In this course, different theories about child development will be presented, these theories will be compared, physical, emotional, scientific and social development of the child will be examined and the factors affecting these variables will be discussed.
Course Content: Principles, history and techniques of developmental psychology, Biological foundations of development, Prenatal development, Physical and sensory development, Cognitive and language development, Gender development, Social development, Theories of personality development Moral development.
