1) |
• Project course is introduced to students.
• The aim of the course is specified.
|
How to prepare the project and its processes are discussed.
Research paper about the theme of the project is given. In the next lesson week, theme suggestions will be determined in line with this homework.
|
2) |
The aim of the course is to provide the student with the theoretical and practical information about the design of the clothing project.
Content of clothing project
|
The process of preparing a project is explained theoretically.
Studies given as homework are examined in the course. Topics that may be discussed are discussed.
Research on the theme that will guide the project is given as homework. Homework will be presented in the course the following week. |
3) |
• The student is expected to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge about design and to develop a clothing design project.
• Selection of theme.
|
As a result of research given as homework, the theme that will support the formation of the clothing project is determined. The visual and textual sources found are turned into a presentation board.
Completion of the presentation board is given as homework. |
4) |
• Start the project.
• The target season of the collection is determined.
|
The season of the collection is determined by targeting the next spring and summer season. This study explains how the designs will be shaped according to season. The subject is discussed.
According to the target season, the colors to be used in the collection are given as homework. This assignment will be checked next week. |
5) |
• Start the project.
• The clothing design process is started according to the selected theme.
|
After the season and color survey of the determined theme, fabric and material choices are started.
The sample fabrics and materials that will guide the clothing designs are investigated. The samples of the fabrics and materials will be evaluated in terms of their suitability for the project, the theme and the season. |
6) |
• Project transition
• Sketch work of the project is started.
|
Progressive sketch works. Each stage of design is expressed in sketch. Sketches made during the course are discussed and corrected.
Sketch work is given as homework. |
7) |
• Project transition
• Sketch studies are continued.
|
Sketch studies are continued. Sketches made during the course are discussed and corrected.
Completion is given as homework until the sketch is sufficient. From these sketches made after the midterm exam, 4 clothes will be purchased for the project. |
8) |
• Midterm
• Midterm
|
File evaluation is done.
Values are set. |
9) |
• Switch to clothing applications
• The design process of clothing design is started.
|
4 clothes are selected from the sketches. It is desirable to apply these designs in one-to-one sizes with the size of 38 women's clothing.
Materials required for garments are purchased. |
10) |
• Clothing applications.
• The design process of clothing design continues.
|
The patterns of selected clothing designs are started to be prepared. The prepared molds are tried from the canvas (american cloth), proof and mold corrections are made.
