Course Objectives: | To know the basic concepts of special education and special education and the characteristics of groups that need special education. To discuss concepts such as mainstreaming and early intervention. To understand the teaching techniques and methods applied to children with special needs, to find solutions to behavior problems, to communicate effectively with the families of students with special needs. |
Course Content: | Basic concepts in special education, special education and historical point of view, today's special education status in the world and in Turkey, the purposes and principles of special education, special needs, promotion of development support programs for children, children who are at risk of developing special needs children in families of children with intellectual disabilities diagnosis, preparing mentally handicapped support training program and practice. |
