Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: It is aimed for students to; know child health and diseases at prenatal, neonatal, childhood periods.
Course Content: The definition of mother-child health, the state of child health in our country and in the world, pregnancy physiology and complications, birth physiology and complications, premature, postmatured and intrauterine growth retardation, the effects of diseases and accidents that may be experienced during pregnancy, the physiological features and frequent diseases of children, physical development (teeth, height, weight), nutrition and follow-up, pediatric diseases (gastro-infectious system diseases, respiratory tract infections, immune system and infectious diseases, parasitic diseases, allergic diseases, anemias, etc.), methods of protection from diseases, vaccines, Identification and implementation of health problems, family planning, fracture-dislocation, burning, injury, insect bites, poisoning, foreign body swallowing, etc., common accidents and basic first aid practices according to the woman's life periods.
