Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge about lifelong development by discussing their development theories. In this context, it aims to evaluate students' prenatal and postnatal development, infancy, early childhood, adolescence, early adulthood, middle adulthood and late adulthood among lifelong development issues.
Course Content: To address the psychological and physiological development stages of human development within the framework of the theories, from the prenatal period to the end of life.
To address the end of life culturally and historically.

1) Explains the lifelong perspective in development, explains important processes, periods, nature of development research and basic development theories related to human development. Discusses life-long development with an evolutionary perspective and explains the effects of genetics and environment in development.

1) Define physical and cognitive changes and language development in early childhood. Describes emotional development and personality development in early childhood and defines family, peer relationships and the effects of television on this development.
