Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: This course will start from the Prehistoric Architecture to the Middle Age Architecture,and It will focus on Mesopotamian Architecture, Egyptian Architecture, the first settlements in Anatolia and Hittite Architecture, Phrygian, Urartian, Lydian, Lycian Architecture, Minos and Mycenaean Architecture, Ancient Greek Architecture, Persian and Sassanid Architecture, Etruscan and Roman Architecture, Eastern Roman / Byzantine Architecture, and Romanesque and Gothic Architecture.
Course Content: Bu ders Tarih Öncesi Dönemi Mimarlığından başlayarak Orta Çağ Dönemi Mimarlığına kadar, Mezopotamya Mimarlığı, Mısır Mimarlığı, Anadolu’daki ilk yerleşimler ve Hitit Mimarlığı, Frig, Urartu, Lidya, Likya Mimarlıkları, Minos ve Miken Mimarlığı, Antik Yunan Mimarlığı, Pers ve Sasani Mimarlığı, Etrüsk ve Roma Mimarlığı, Doğu Roma/Bizans Mimarlığı, ve Romanesk ve Gotik Mimarlığına odaklanarak, ders tartışmalarla yürütülecektir.
