Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to prepare students to professional practice of Architecture in Turkey. The course will introduce students with key terms of professional life and introduce various approaches and methodologies how to manage the general ecosystem of Professional Architectural Practice, whether they are an employee, an officer or owner of a company
Course Content: Definitions of legal terms relevant to Professional Architectural Practice. Actors of a real-life process (NGOs, government, professional services, etc.). Reading and understanding of formal legal requirements within the context of real-life examples and calculations. Bureaucratic procedures to obtain various kinds of permits. General evaluation and discussion of ethical values and assessment methods for ethical evaluation of professional behavior.
