Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Get more familiar with the city in which they live and study from an architect’s point of view
Course Content: Istanbul is a modern metropolis with a very rich history and important location which is situated on two parts called European and Asian side by the Bosphorus on the north coast of Turkey. This city has deep roots from prehistoric periods to being a capital city for three empires. Istanbul is a multi-layered settlement which is still lively in the modern world with a more than 15 million population. To understand Istanbul, this course helps to evaluate layer by layer.
