Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: Urban morphology, appearing as an emerging topic in the built environment discussions, arrays the paradigms of form making in the built environment. Learning and debating on the analysis, synthesis and knowledge creation on the shape of cities and settlements based on multiple factors is the basic motive of the course. The course outlines the form creation through time, from history to the present and to the future forms of living patterns.
Course Content: Discussion on on urban morphology will involve philosophical, social, cultural, economic, environmental, aesthetic, functional topics of planning, urban design and architecture and how factors of related issues on the form creation in the built environment as well as its spatial and temporal qualities.
