Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To teach the design of steel structures, material properties of steel, steel structures members, connection methods, steel spanning systems, lateral, vertical loads and steel building members arragement principles according to related standarts, codes and it is aimed to be able to configure the steel structural system in architrctural projects.
Course Content: Properties of steel as material and steel structures, design of steel structural members under tension, compression and bending effects, connection methods, steel spanning systems, bracing, lateral, vertical loads, fire protection methods, steel building members arragement principles according to related standarts, codes.
