Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to present a cogent and understandable picture of the nature and purpose of philosophy. This course examines how different views of philosophy lead to differing views about the necessity of morality, the nature of truth, and the role of community in intellectual inquiry and explores contemporary approaches to ethics and values, truth, wisdom.
