Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to informed and discussion the basic concepts of health sociology, historical development of health sociology, patient-physician relationship types, social role (patient role) and status, concepts of disease and health, information about body sociology and interactions between health and gender, age, disability and class belonging such as social-cultural cathegories.
Course Content: Concepts, theories, historical development, pre-modern, modern and postmodern era health paradigms and sociological and cultural factors affecting health.
