Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The purpose of this course is to familiarize students with the lifespan development perspective. It provides an in-depth study of theories and basic concepts in developmental psychology. Topics covered include the history of developmental psychology, research methods in developmental psychology, prenatal development; developmental stages of newborns and infants as well as cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and personality developments during childhood, adolescence, early adulthood, middle age and old age.
