Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To acquire competence in medical ethics and patient rights and to have the knowledge and skills to adhere to ethical principles in professional practices.
Course Content: Ethical Definitions, Concepts, and History, Work and Professional Ethical Principles, Medical Ethics and Principles, Bioethics and Deontology, Medical Processes (Euthanasia, Organ Transplantation, etc.) and Ethics, Patient Rights and Management, Employee Rights and Responsibilities, Informed Consent, Privacy and Confidentiality, Medical Practices and Errors (Discussion with Case Examples), Ethics in Clinical and Genetic Research, Healthcare Institutions and Organizations, Healthcare Services Organization, Medical Ethics - Professional Ethics Case Discussions.

1) -To have basic level theoretical and practical knowledge supported by textbooks, application tools and other resources containing current information in the field based on the qualifications gained at the secondary education level.

1) - To acquire the skills to use the basic theoretical and applied knowledge acquired in the field at a further education level in the same field or in a field at the same level. - Ability to interpret and evaluate data, identify problems, analyze data, and develop evidence-based solutions by using the basic knowledge and skills in the field.
