Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To teach appropriate exercise and treatment approaches by knowing the individual and group properties of all the elements that make up the spine in spine health.
Course Content: This course includes; Cervical spine evaluation, Thoracic spine evaluation, Lumbal spine evaluation, Cervical region exercises and treatment approaches, Thoracic region exercises and treatment approaches, Lumbal region exercises and treatment approaches, Exercise selection according to dysfunction, Principles of progressive exercise program according to dysfunction, Group exercises to protect spine health, Group exercises for those with spine problems, Case applications (Cervical), Case applications (Thoracic), Case applications (Lumbal) I, Case applications (Lumbal) II; includes topics.

1) Apply physiotherapy intervention in a systematic, individual-oriented manner by adapting it to daily life, and share the results of the evaluation and intervention with the service recipients, taking into account the characteristics of the service recipient within the framework of confidentiality rules.
2) Apply the physiotherapy and rehabilitation program systematically and safely within the framework of ethical principles by using the advanced knowledge and skills acquired; terminates or changes when necessary.

1) Solves problems by making the necessary evaluation, identification and planning for physiotherapy and rehabilitation applications by using theoretical and practical concepts and principles related to the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation and basic medical sciences.
2) Based on the physiotherapy knowledge related to the general health status of the service recipient, it defines the health and lifestyle profile, disabilities, body structure and function, activity participation level of the person and determines the evaluation and treatment priorities in this direction.
3) It lists the near and far term goals appropriate to the functional levels to be achieved by the service recipient.
4) In addition to counseling in the protection and development of community health, it makes interventions for behavior and implements the planned exercise program.
5) Contributes to the production of health policies appropriate to the changing and diversifying needs of society in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
