Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: In the light of developing social, economic and technological developments, the function, responsibilities and ethical aspects of digital media are gaining more and more importance.
What kind of a mission should the media develop in the new period and what should be considered?
Course Content: The events on digital platforms, examination of cases, expansions and analysis within the theoretical framework.

1) Following and controlling all kinds of developments regarding digital media and broadcasting, Learning to feed online and offline from other disciplines that feed the media field, Introduction to theoretical and practical information about equipment that will provide functional benefits.

Cognitive - Practical
1) To be able to use the acquired theoretical and factual information in personal production, to analyze existing campaigns and practices, to be able to approach critically. To be able to interpret and evaluate traditional broadcasting in the light of the developments in new media and identify problems related to broadcasting by using the knowledge and skills gained.

1) To be able to combine their knowledge of current issues and situations related to digital media and television in the same level as they learned in the theoretical framework, to gain the ability to identify and complement missing quantitative and qualitative data in order to solve problems or come to a conclusion. To be able to propose and implement constructive projects for the social environment in which he or she lives by combining his advertising knowledge and experience with the awareness of social responsibility.

1) Critical approach to the information acquired in the field of media, making suggestions for change and implementation, determining learning needs for this and reaching its target by planning. In this sense, understanding the importance of lifelong learning and developing a tendency to apply this approach.

1) Act and make decisions in accordance with ethical and scientific values related to both traditional and online publishing.
Competence to Work Independently and Take Responsibility
1) To be able to carry out an advanced study on TV and digital media independently and to produce for a portfolio. To take responsibility individually and as a team member to solve communicative crises in the digital world.
