Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: To be able to understand lifelong learning and turn it into a lifestyle in order to become an active member of the information society; To gain the knowledge and skills to organize teaching activities in accordance with the learning characteristics of adults.
Course Content:
Definition and scope of adult education; Concepts related to adult education (continuing education, public education, non-formal education, vocational training etc.); The historical development of adult education in Turkey; Approaches and models about adult education, adults and learning; The aim, scope and historical development of lifelong learning; Lifelong learning practices in Turkish education system.
