Course Objective and Content

Course Objectives: The objective of the course is to evaluate the principles of nutrition in pregnancy and lactation,infant and childhood periods.
Course Content: The definition and importance of nutrition, basic concepts of nutrition, principles and rules of healthy nutrition, determining the importance of nutrition during pregnancy and lactation period, determining physiological and metabolic changes and nutritional interactions in infants, preschoolers, school age and adolescents, energy and nutrients to determine the needs, to learn the principles of adequate and balanced nutrition in infants, preschool, school age and adolescence, to interpret the education and practices for inadequate and unbalanced nutrition, to include education and practices for community nutrition, to include in the application areas, health and hygiene rules in the preparation of foods.
